The Southeast Region of the United States is home to the oldest permanent settlement. The Southeast also encompasses a wide range of habitat types from lowland coastal wetlands to high elevation forests. There are 12 states located in the Southeast.

Next to each state, please write the capital of the state along with one fun fact (famous person born there, a particular food they are known for, state nickname) that you have learned on this journey.
